Should we be saving an endangered minnow at the expense of hundreds of farming families?

What's next with the advent of even more powerful microscopes are Liberals going to rally to save some microbial disease at the expense of millions of Americans? Is this the precedent we should be setting? Where do we draw the line? So it is ok to save the two inch fish and import our fruits and vegetables from other countries as a result?
